Reducing greenhouse gas emissions
Jake wants the European Parliament to develop initiatives to improve energy efficiency - one of the cheapest and most effective ways of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. Wales and Britain have a particularly poor record compared to many other European countries.
Jake would also work to remove barriers and implement incentives to increase the use of renewable energy. He believes Wales has a huge untapped potential for 'micro renewables' (domestic-scale renewable sources such as solar panels).
