Jon was elected to Denbighshire County Council in May 2022. He’s a keen cyclist and a former postman. He’s been pushing for safe, green routes to school.
Lauren James
Shaftesbury
Elected in May 2022, Lauren James is Newport’s first ever Green Party councillor. She is passionate about air quality, public transport and grassroots community activism. You can read more about her work in Shaftesbury on the Gwent Green Party website.
Ian Chandler

Ian was elected to Monmouthshire County Council in 2022 and named their LGBTQ+ Champion the same year. They are a member of the Council’s Climate & Nature Emergency Working Group and two key scrutiny committees, and fight passionately for their rural community.
Nathan Goldup-John
Coedffranc Central
Nathan is Wales’ first young Green Councillor. An urban planner, he is passionate about promoting good design in the built environment and determined to see an active and sustainable travel revolution in Neath Port Talbot. Nathan was instrumental in declaring a Climate Emergency within the borough and aims to deliver on Green Party promises of environmental and social justice.
